About the Reflexology Association of Alaska

• The Reflexology Association of Alaska (AKRA) was founded in 2009
• The affiliation between the Reflexology Association of Alaska and the Reflexology Association of America was formally approved by the RAA Board of Directors on May, 2010
• AKRA is an active state association supporting their membership with a fully seated Board of Directors and working committees.
• AKRA holds Membership Events, and offers Continuing Education opportunities.

AKRA provides an organized voice to further the profession in Alaska. Tackling issues such as certification standards and ethics among practitioners will help to ensure that those practicing in the state maintain adequate levels of training and professionalism. Having an organized professional group also enables more effective communication with the legislature in Alaska where information can be more effectively and powerfully delivered regarding the unique differences between reflexology and other healing modalities such as massage.
AKRA members work together in providing community outreach in order to benefit the community and to bring awareness regarding reflexology’s benefits as a healing modality.

As a centralizing body, AKRA helps create a sense of community among professionally trained and students of reflexology offering a point of access to information and networking.

Professional reflexologists, students of reflexology and schools of reflexology are all welcome and encouraged to join AKRA. Professional reflexologists, students of reflexology, schools of reflexology and businesses/benefactors wanting to support reflexology are welcome to join AKRA
